The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru, reduced to three barrels (see producer profile) has a fragrant bouquet with ebullient red fruit, hints of cassis, iris and peony. Very fine definition and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with velvety tannins and fine acidity. This is a strict and linear Amoureuses, pure, yet maybe missing the flamboyance that a more benevolent season would bestow. Moderate length. Give it 3-5 years in bottle. 92-94
