These 40-year-old vines sit next to Musigny. There are three eras of plantation: the 1950s at the top, the 1980s toward the gate and 2013 for the rest. The En Orveaux sector has lots of clay and is very sunny. Pale in color with pretty vinosity and good, red fruit length, this is a head-turning Echézeaux. Jérôme said, 'It's best to taste it as though it were a Chambolle.' Point taken.
